Brewed with fresh oyster. A smooth drinking aromatic stout with a discernible but unidentifiable aromatic aspect. Not suitable for vegetarians. This gently flavored stout has a roast malt character, full body and an aromatic character from the Goldings hops. Fresh oysters added during the brewing process, lend a discernible yet unidentifiable note.

Itís black with a red hue and a creamy, light brown head. The aroma has notes of hard roasted malt, light licorice and saltwater Iím guessing itís the oyster aroma in beer. The flavor is slightly sweet and roasted dry/slightly bitter with notes of hard roasted malt, light licorice and clear saltwater, and the finish is dry and slightly salty.

A: The pour is a very dark brown color with a decent sized tan head. S: The nose is fairly roasty but not all that impressive. A bit of chlorine and salt, and perhaps a tad metallic. T: More of the same in terms of the flavor. What flavors are there are watery and bland and not all that enjoyable. Slightly roasted, salty, and a bit of a mineral quality. M: Fairly light in body with a a similarly light carbonation to it. D: What is it with this brewery? Iíve had three beers from them, none of them resembling anything enjoyable. Oh well...

Tap. An interesting stout. Pours dark black with a strong, tan head. Good nose of roasted malts, light chocolate. Flavor is standard stout up until the finish, at which point there is a detectable uniqueness - the oyster, presumably. A slightly salty, briney quality. It doesnít necessarily make the beer any better, but it does set it apart from the pack. Medium bodied and pretty smooth.

Sampled at the brewery. Typical stout flavor with hints of salt water. Bit thinnish but nevertheless a very nice beer.
