3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A light smell of malt, not much else. The body is black, the head has a normal size, it is white and milky-creamy. The taste is light sweet and malty, the finish is light bitter. The body is medium strong, very creamy with a normal carbonation.

330ml bottle. pours jet black with decent, off white head. aroma is nice of a little coffee and some malts. but the taste was really odd. must be the oysters. no idea what it is exactly but it wasn’t balanced and was too tart

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml Bottle from Beers of Europe website (£1.89):
Rich with a lot of dark chocolate and strong coffee notes with some roasted barely coming through as well. This is followed by a creamy, milk chocolate smell and some sweetness that is complimented by some light vanilla and fruits such a cherry and blackcurrant.
Dark mahogany brown with a half centimetre tall head that is an light, tan brown and creamy looking with good retention.
Sweet with the milk chocolate from the nose taking more of a front seat here along with some sugar and a creamy, roasted malt taste. There is a hint of the oysters that give the beer its name and some hints of cocoa as you get to the middle. The finish features some coffee and is rounded off with a slightly smoked taste, a touch of bitterness and some fruits.
Smooth and creamy throughout, this one was naturally dry given the style. Quite sweet and with a good balance on top of a light medium body, the beer is one that goes down well.
Good balance and some nice sweetness on top of the traditionally dark flavours. Without being a stand out in this one was definitely one of the better dry stouts I have tasted and was particularly good for an oyster stout.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at Porterhouse. Think a sweet roast driven stout with salt and pepper thrown in. Too sweet for my liking and a little too thin which adds to the unbalanced nature of the beer. Like dark chocolate and pepper with an odd beach thing happening. Just ok but not really my thing

You can definitely smell and taste the hops in this stout. The flavor also has some smokiness to it. No bad.

Very smooth and almost silken flavor and mouthfeel. Nice robust malt with a heavy roast and mild nutty, toffee malts. The pour is a dark deep brown with a big tan head. overall, a solid brew
