Brewed with fresh oyster. A smooth drinking aromatic stout with a discernible but unidentifiable aromatic aspect. Not suitable for vegetarians. This gently flavored stout has a roast malt character, full body and an aromatic character from the Goldings hops. Fresh oysters added during the brewing process, lend a discernible yet unidentifiable note.

bottle from whole foods bowery. pours black with a decent tan head. great nose, can definitely pick up the oysters. good taste too, the roasty flavors of a stout give way to the salty, earthy flavor of the oysters. Oysters could come through a little stronger, but itís definitely there. One of my favorite styles, and this beer doesnít disappoint.

12oz bottle from 1 for the Road in Wexford, PA. Beautiful 6 inch head that lasts through to the final swallow. No fishy odors or taste, just a hint from the ingredients that the oysters are the secret within the uniqueness of this fine stout. In this eon of unusual and diverse stouts, itís good to know that the folks at Porterhouse have not gone overboard with dressing up a good Irish stout.

On draught: fresh, creamy, smooth, coffee, a lot of taste and after taste, not very strong in alcohol.

First time I tasted this I loved it straight away. Seemed like your average stout but there was something sweeter on the finish. Totally unidentifiable but I can only assume it was the oysters. Great bottle of beer.

Delicious Stout with all the traditional qualities you expect from a good stout. Brewed with oysters, you get just a bit of brineyness in the flavor profile. Overall interesting and tasty experience. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drought. Dark brown with a reddish tint, creamy milk-chocolate head with good retention, slight oyster aroma, balanced biiterness and long smooth finish. Very nice and easy to drink, moight be a bit weak though.

Half pint in Porterhouse, Covent Garden. Pours dark brown with thin white head. Nose is potent. Salty oysters and liquorice in there. Taste also has a nice strong salty oyster tang, giving way to roasted malt and briny sea flavours. Not subtle but really really nice. Very unique and flavoursome.
