4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 McWorta (231) - - JUL 30, 2012Porterhouse in Dublin - pitch black and a wee bit tan head. Smell somewhat malty. At first the aroma develops maltiness followed by saltiness which combined is well balanced and reminds you instantly of oysters! Pretty good stuff. Palate is a bit thin and unfortunately fading quickly away, wished for a bit more lingering oyster. Nonetheless, really good pint!

Smells chocolaty with a hint of the ocean. Pours deep brown with red tints and thin almost nonexistent head. Tastes slightly sweet with a hint of fishiness, not overpowering. Goes down smooth and creamy, but leaves a fishy aftertaste.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DSG (3926) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAY 14, 2013
Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks zvikar. Dark brown, looks transparent in front of a candle. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, a bit of dark bread hintes and a bit of spicy notes. Slightly sweetish flavor with light roastiness, a bit of chocolate and coffee notes, light saltiness and a finish with a bit of bitterness. Medium-bodied.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nische (59) - Saltsjö-Boo, SWEDEN - APR 18, 2013

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jhliesen (605) - West Melbourne, Florida, USA - APR 13, 2013
Bottle---dark brown color, similar to coke, with a foamy head that dissipates and leaves lacing on the glass. Medium aroma of roast malt and chocolate. There is a bit of an off aroma, not bad, but different, could it be the oysters? Who knows. Light roast taste with medium sweetness, the finish is the same. Overall, a "soft" stout. Total Wine.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tourtrappist (34) - SWEDEN - APR 7, 2013
Clear and strong taste of salt and oysters is in the + column. But I find it too fizzy and thin on all other qualities for a Stout. More exiting than good.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 savnac (2056) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - APR 4, 2013
Bottle. Clear dark reddish brown with a small, light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, brine and herbs. Flavor is chocolate, salty with some roasty bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation. Good beer, the salty/brine character is subtle but there.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 WheatKing (698) - Oak Bay, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 2, 2013
I don’t know, I loved their plain porter but this was weird to me, it was identifiable and the aroma and taste was definitely "briney". What if Budweiser made one of these? Probably would only be half as good, but still would be absolutely crushed in the ratings. The actual stout qualities were good though, dark coffee and roastiness, a bit thin... but yeah, dat brine.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 pintbypint (1972) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 28, 2013
330ml brown bottle. Deep brown pour, but not quite black. Light beige cap that thins out a lot but leave nice thick rings on the glass. Nose has chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Taste is roasty, black choclate notes, mild coffee, hint of salt (or maybe I’m just imagining that because I know oysters were adding during brewing). Finishes dry, nice roasty finish. Carbonation seems a bit prickly, medium bodied. Enjoyable dry stout.
