Brewed with fresh oyster. A smooth drinking aromatic stout with a discernible but unidentifiable aromatic aspect. Not suitable for vegetarians. This gently flavored stout has a roast malt character, full body and an aromatic character from the Goldings hops. Fresh oysters added during the brewing process, lend a discernible yet unidentifiable note.

Bottle; pours dark brown with a beige head; aroma is roasted malt with some chocolate and hints of coffee; taste is more roasted malt and lighter notes of chocolate and coffee; dry, roasted finish but did not really notice the oysters; still a decent stout

Draught at Porterhouse Central. Dark ruby with a really creamy tan head. Dry malt aroma. A definite edge from the oyster. Nice dry finish.

Smak: spora słodycz, karmelowa, landrynkowa, lekko tostowa i palona. Końcówka kwaskowa, palona i wyraźnie alkoholowa.

Butelka. Barwa ciemna z widocznymi refleksami pod światło. Piana lekko beżowa, pozostaje cienka warstwa do samego końca, Aromat jak i smak zdominowany przez ostrygę. Ponad to wyczuwalne smaki kawy, ciemny słodów. W smaku czuć pełnię. Wysycenie niskie. Goryczka symboliczna.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown, blackish beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma of light roast, chocolate, slightly salty. Flavor has defintely some typical umami oyster characteristics, some sweet chocolate and not much else. Soft carbonation and short, light sweet aftertaste. Had several oyser stouts now, and none seem to impress me thusfar.

Bottle 330 ml. Dlack with garnet color, good beige foam. Aroma: roasted, caramel, pleasant floral hops and prunes. Taste: sweet and spicy, with a hint of salt, caramel and burnt barley, spice reminded anise or coriander, not bad.

Arômes légers, apparence noir, goût, légumes cuits, sauce soya, fumée, pressure salée, palais plutôt décevant fade, globalement sympathique et surprenante

Pours pitch black with nice head and lacing. Aroma: dark malt, coupled with salty aroma (oysters?) and a touch of licorice. Taste: dark malt, saltiness, nice mid-long palate. Maybe it is autosuggestion but the saltiness in this beer reminds me of fresh oyster taste.

This Irish oyster stout is brewed with fresh oysters. I can very quickly confirm that the amount of oysters have been quite small, for it is certainly not distinctive as stout. It is like a usual Irish dry stout with creamy white persistent foam. The aroma is very sparse and the taste has little coffee notes besides a little touch of something which may well be fresh ocean. There should really use a little imagination to taste oysters in this otherwise quite tasty stout. Take it as a fun and different experience, but do not expect the big rush.
