Draught Porterhouse, London Picturesque ruby-highlighted deep brown body with thick creamy nitro head. Somewhat muted nose; roasted malts prominant, dark chocolate and mocha, some subtle hop character detectable. Slightly creamy texture, low to medium carbonation, dry roasted texture with quite lean weight. Nice roasted malt body, plenty of milk chocolate and latte flavours. Hops come through on the finish, earthy spice, lending quite a solid bitterness. A good dry porter for sure.

Cask @ The Wharf, Aalborg. As ‘Dublin Porter’. Pours a dark, dark brown with a creamy off-white/beige head. Nice lacing. Roasted aroma. Flavour is roasted and a bit watery. Mild finish; a bit roasted. 27-09-09.

Draught at the Porterhouse Central. Nice black colour with a medium lasting tan head. Rich roasted aroma. Tasted of roasted malts with slight coffee and chocolate notes with a bitter finish and aftertaste. Not bad but was pretty boring.

On nitro at the brewpub. One of the big nitro head pours, beige over cloudy dark brown. Dry ashy aroma with tobacco, roast, some smoke and some frutiness. Flavor is dark fruit, sweet plum, tobacco, nice. Medium to light, well carbonated body. Not bad. 7 3 6 3 13 = 3.2 -------- cask at the brewpub. clear brown with Clear brown with no head. A little bit more like mollasses, syrup, a little roast, nice. Flavor is similar to the aroma with a more sweeter red/purple fruit, nice. Light and watery with no carbonation, basically cask like. I prefer this one more than the original. 3 8 7 3 15 = 3.6
