Keg at Porterhouse Covent Garden. Short review due to socialising. Black, big foamy brown head endures and leaves full lacing. Aroma - malty. Body is creamy because of the dense head, but once you get through that it’s medium to light bodied, smooth. Taste - thin coffee, ash. OK. A little watery.

Flaska. En ganska trevlig stout. Bra balans, tydlig beska, men som inte alls dominerar. Inte alls så "mjölkig" som de mer kända Irländska stouterna.

Bottle, 33cL, 5% abv. Home. A pitch black beer with a small white head. Medium persistence. Brown hues at the bottom and the top of my glass. Aroma of caramel, smoke, wood and roasty malt. Medium to heavy refreshing bitterness. Medium body. Fizzy watery texture. Lasting dry bitter finish. Overall, a good smoky bitter dry stout.

on Tap. Smooth in the beginning, a bit watery. The mainpart is roasted, but a bit light in body. Easy to drink and creamy. The aftertaste has hints of roast and caramel, that cover the light body a bit. Nice and smooth. --> 12/12/11/11

Flight done at brewpub with wings. Good atmosphere. Tasting notes as follows: Hersbrucker pilsner: crisp, fizzy, refreshing plain porter: good bitterness at end. Smooth. Not much flavor in the middle. Tsb: bite at end, watery red-nitro: malt flavor, not favorite beer or style

Flaska hemma. Riktigt fin skumkrona och mörk som natten. Smaken är sådär knappt några brändatoner men en snäll beska. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Espuma beige, cremosa, generosa.

Tap @ Black Door, Helsinki 12/03/14. Pours a dark brown with a reddish tinge, pretty much black. The head is obvious nitro, thick, smooth, cool, long-lasting. The color is beige. Really slick and beautiful. Aroma is nitroed too: Very light, light yeastiness, light roast and coffee. Somehow appropriate though. It is a faint promise of greater things to come. The taste is smooth. A lot of soft chocolate, some roast and coffee. Light wooden touch. Really nice. Palate is smooth with not much carbonation. A bit watery on the finish. Really classy-looking dry stout with the nitro, that also unfortunately makes the aroma rather faint. Very nice flavor, but a bit light on the finish.
