Keg @ Porterhouse Central, Dublin [140813]
Dark caramel brown, dense creamy white nitro-head
Aroma - Roasted malts, soft chocolate
Taste - Roasted malts, dark chcocolate, touch of spice hop, easy, mellow, not complex
Palate - Soft carb, medium body. Finish as main flavour, quite dry, roasted malt, dab of chocolate, bitter coffee roast linger
Overall - Easy drinking porter, rather simple flavours - it’s a much better replacement for Guinness

A nice dark body with creamy off white head. Of the three stouts I tried at Porterhouse they all looked almost identical. This one is advertised as "world’s best stout." It’s not. But it’s decent. Some sweetness, a touch of hops. Good.

Dark brown color, average sized brown head; aroma remembers of chocolate, coffee; palate is smoth with average carbonation. Taste is more a dry stout than a porter; chocolate, coffee and licorice.
