On tap at Fraunces Tavern in NYC. Opaque black with reddish hints and creamy head. Roasted coffee and malt on nose. Smells delicious, and taste follows through with rich, classic porter flavors, coffee, burnt caramel, toffee. Could drink this all through a winter’s day. Among the best porters around at this abv.

The 5% version. 330ml bottle. Dark brown body with a medium brown tainted head.Dark chocolate, milk, grass, bitter hops (orange peel) and roasted malt. Also something artificial I have trouble putting my finger on. Too much hops in here for my liking and a too thin palate.

Keg at The Porterhouse, Covent Garden, London. Chestnut with thin white head. Excessively expensive for what is a thin, dry, bitter beer. Dull with a cardboard note. Poor.
