On tap at The Porterhouse, Covent Garden 29 Apr 08. Golden colored. A large tanned creamy head that clings to the glass. Modest aroma and flavor of malt. A pleasant bitter aftertaste.

Alla spina al Duca; non sono un appassionato del genere, ma la Porterhouse dimostra di lavorare spesso bene. Dolcina, da finire con calma, ma tutto sommato un’ottima birra da bere in compagnia.

A Mes rate: Draught at the Porterhouse.
Copper with a thick creamy nitro head. Bland aroma of metal and delicate malt. Creamy malt flavour with some reasonable hops and a bit of caramel. Slightly bitter finish. Run of the mill at best and not worth Mr. Jackson raving over it.

Lighter aroma than i expected and very smooth mouthfeel but quite a large hint of spiciness in the taste..a little too much to be well balanced.

Thin creamy offwhite everlasting head. Body is reddish brown. Light aroma, mostly malty with peppery hops. Watery metallic malty taste with a dry mealy edge. Roasty grainy aftertaste, quite long. Peppery hops. Nice, but not their best. (0.2l draft, Porterhouse Temple Bar, Dublin.)

Nitro draught at Porterhouse Dublin December 2007. Nice clear red with frothy cream head and nice retention. No discernible aroma present. Flavor is malty, with little bit of fruits and nuts. Flavor is overall pretty mild, but still enjoyable. Very creamy mouthfeel. Nice beer in a wonderful setting.

Keg (Porterhouse, Dublin) Reddy brown, nitro head. Nitro kills the aroma, but some sickly sweetness detectable.Flavour similar, slightly sour, but definitely a bit sweet. Not worth going out of ones way for - "red ale" is a stupid modern marketting concept, anyway.

Draught @ Porterhouse, London. Wonderful red coloured beer with thin creamy lasting head. Malty taste with nuts coming through the more you drink. Aroma is almost non-existent but can get some hops / dark fruits. Drinkable.
