3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
2009-05-15. Dark amber red body with a good sized creamy cream coloured head and very good lace. Flavour is more bitter than I expected with a sharp bitterness on first sip, sweeter malt undertones feels just a touch to thin to balance the bitterness. Aroma is muted, non-descript hops and malt. Average palate is smooth, lightly carbonated. Okay. On tap at the brewpub.

Third pint glass on a sample tray, draught at Porterhouse London. Thin, creamy white head covering a deep dark brown body. Nice laceworks. Sweet malty nose followed by a smooth roasted taste of caramel. A bit anonymous, though (05.08.2008).
