Tap. Beautiful creamy head. Nice brown body. Balanced aroma of fruit and coffee. The flavour contains much coffee, some chocolate and a some sweet fruit. A full palate. Interesting combination of fruit and coffee, it works well here. I get a stout-feeling from this beer. (Porterhouse Dublin, 16.03.07)

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Biscuity malts and strong fruity esters with soapy, floral hops in the nose. Clear, amber coloured body is topped by a dense, fine bubbled, off white, nitro (?) head that lasts throughout and coats the glass. Caramel malt flavour is cut short before being allowed to express itself by overly strong bitterness that lingers. Fruity esters are also buried beneath the strong hops. Medium body with lively, lightly prickly carbonation that almost makes up for the nitro blandness. Sampled on tap at the brewpub in Temple Bar (May-06).

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught@brew pub, Dublin.
Red amber color, steady tan creamy head. Bready malty, brown toasted sugar aroma. Toasted, sugary flavor mixed with English hops. Aftertaste is hoppy. More character than the more commercial examples of "Irish Red".
