"At last an Irish Red Ale with a traditional hop flavour to balance the fruit character of the yeast and the luscious caramel flavour notes delivered from the malts used, as opposed to artificially added."
Ingedients: Pale, Crystal, Wheat and Chocolate Malts; Galena, Nugget and East Kent Golding hops.

Aroma is a nutty malt with light fruit and even a hint of smoke. Dark amber color with frothy foam head. (Hurried pour) Taste is burned dark caramelbleand fruity metallic hop. Medium weight, very quaffable. Seemed like a nice ale, very fresh which I am not used to for Irish beer.

Not that this was spectacular, but at the least is an average beer within the style. Dark amber/red pour, decent feel...light but smooth. Definitely malt dominated nose and flavor. Caramel and a bit o nut. Not much hops but in the finish. For $4.10 retail probably a one timer."

330 ml bottle. Deep amber red with off white head. Aroma mostly of burnt sugar, metal, minerals and bready malt. Taste is similar, a bit thin, metallic and burnt sugar. Decent

Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Pours an amber red colour with a small off white head. Vague aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Rather thin, some malty sweetness, overall rather bland and disappointing.
