3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle with convenient pull ring on cap pours a dark red/copper color with a small rothy off-white head but no lacing. Not much to smell. Aroma has malty, Chalky taste but easily drinkable. Has a thin to medium body but lively carbonation. Finish is sweeter. Iím glad to have tried this, but will probably not come back for another 4-pack

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
February 15, 2011. Shared by garthicus with blankboy and me. 330ml bottle with that weird ring-pull cap on it. Mostly clear light copper with a smallish off-white creamy/frothy head. Slightly vegetal aroma - floral and sweet - quite mild, not bad. Taste is floral and herbal, nowhere near as sweet, moderate alcohol, decent balance. Light body, slick, oddly astringent, weak carbonation, more bitterness than expected, but the vegetal aroma reappears in the finish of the taste .... not one of their best.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Keg at the Draft House Tower Bridge, looks like a creamflow keg bitter - amber brown, with a thick clingy white head - a little toffee malt on the nose, then a big but one-dimensional malt-bitter bite, with the bitterness lingering in a faintly acrid way. Not impressive.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not a bad irish red ale, rating this from the bottle, but usually drink it draught from the keg - had it once on cask and itís so much better, but cask beer remains very niche in Ireland so itíll remain nitrogenated unfortunately. Deep copper colour, small white head. Aroma of caramel, fig & deep woody malt. Taste full of slightly smokey deep caramel malt, a bit of hop bitterness with a dry finish. Not bad, but drink it from the cask if you can.
