"At last an Irish Red Ale with a traditional hop flavour to balance the fruit character of the yeast and the luscious caramel flavour notes delivered from the malts used, as opposed to artificially added."
Ingedients: Pale, Crystal, Wheat and Chocolate Malts; Galena, Nugget and East Kent Golding hops.

10/3/12. 12oz bottle. Light red/amber pour with a small khaki head. The aroma shows a ton of oxidation, wet cardboard, hints of mintiness, as well as touches of sweet, burnt caramel. Oxidized flavor as well with bits of mint, sweet caramel, and a bit of chocolate. Methinks this is an old bottle.

Appearance: clear, with a war between light brown, orange, and red for the color, with a light beige head. Aroma: notes of caramel, toasted light brown bread, a hint of nuts, cherries, and blackberries. Taste: as the aroma indicates, with the addition of a bit of must, and a decent dose of leafy, slightly dank hops. Finish: generally balanced and light, but with a slight metallic/astringent note. Notes: Not bad, but not awesome. Was hoping for more. The pull-tab cap was really, really cool.

Amber colour with a frothy white head. Toffee, caramel aroma. Crisp texture with a caramel malt flavour. Extremely quaffable beer. Tasty brew. I could drink gallons of this stuff.

Pours extremely clear and has a brownish/red colour. toffee and caramel aroma with a slight hoppy floral note. More of the same flavours, has a real caramel mid palate and a slight burnt toast kick. It has a dried fruit and slightly bitter chocolate flavour. A rather simple but enjoyable brew.

A slightly above average beer. pours a nice reddish brown. Has a very sweet taste with a malty undertone. Good beer, my last bottle from Porterhouse.

330ml bottle. Pours a clear very rusted red with light tan head that leaves an impressive sticky lace. A big blanket of earthy hops lays atop a robust caramel and fruit base. Has that classic red grittiness on the palate with a nice interplay of fruit and caramel. The hops show up late and follow through a decent length finish with gritty bitterness.

Dobry Red Irish Ale. Mosna, jakby kożuchowa piana i rudawy z odcieniami krwistej czerwieni kolor. W smaku intensywnie aromatyczno gożkawy. Polecam

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber to light brown. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, malt syrup), lightly hoppy (herbs), with notes of paper, black tea, and metal. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, metallic. Blah...metallic, sour, watery, and stale (despite being a new arrival to the area).

Bottle at friends - 27/08/12. Russet brown with a thin bubbly off-white head. Caramel, fudge and berry fruits on the nose. Taste as nose sweetish caramel being the dominant flavour. Light to medium in body, lacking somewhat, slightly watery with prickly carbonation.
