Reliable choice from the tap in the Porterhouse if you get tired off the more unusual beers.

On tap at the London Porterhouse. An attractive and pleasingly sweet beer. Nitrokeg smooth, with a persistent thick head and a copper-red colour. Sweet, cereal aroma. Apple notes, some dispersed metal. A shifting flavour, mostly sweet, with malt and some dryness. Tasty, light and sweet. An original taste for me and a good one.

11.2 oz bottle @ redlight redlight. Malty nose with spicy grassy hops, sweet caramel with earthy hop aroma. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Solid hop flavor with a malty finish, earthy bitterness with grassy notes with hints of molasses and caramel notes with a dry finish. Very solid Irish ale! nice to get a good and also a fresh one!

bottle from papago consumed 7/10/10... dark coppery reddish amber with a sandy off white head. the aroma is of toasted caramel, mild chocolate-coffee-nuttiness-thing, some umami and a ton of spicy dry earthy hops. the flavor is nice and malty with notes of chocolate, nuts, caramel, a ton of spicy hops and a tingly dryness on the finish. the medium body is a little astringent (biscuity) and very crisp. 7/4/7/4/15/3.7

New beers available at the local today, even at 5 bucks a bottle I still pulled the trigger. Pours a deep dark golden almost reddish in color with a good sized fuzzy white head that slowly recedes to form a cap and lots of sticky lace. Smells great! Dark crystal malt sweetness hints of dark fruits and burnt sugar. Very little to any hop present in the aroma. Taste is malty sweet with light caramel slightly bready with some dark fruit and an earthy hop bite that surfaces just long enough to keep it on the right side of cloying. Creamy smooth mouthfeel, moderate level of carbonation and a medium to light body. Very simple but quite tasty brew, very easy to drink sessionable ale. If not for the price tag I could easily see more of these in my future.

On a Nitro tap. Red with nice creamy head. Malty aroma. Sweet, caramel, and hops. Pretty simple, but quite drinkable. Nitro makes it really smooth. I imagine it would feel a bit thin and bland without the Nitro.

Beautiful creamy head. Nice brown body. Balanced aroma of fruit and coffee. The flavour contains much coffee, some chocolate and a some sweet fruit. A full palate. Interesting combination of fruit and coffee, it works well here. I get a stout-feeling from this beer

Complex and strong flavour, resembles grape wine in flavour and aftertaste, sweety aroma.
