COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A new year-round beer. With a darker golden color and some of the most popular citrusy IPA hops, as well as Sterling for a bit of spiciness in the finish, this IPA is hoppy like a Northwest IPA should be. Five different hops and a soft malt backing make for one great, easy-drinking ale.

IBU 70. Tasted in frozen pint glass. Dark copper color. Poured with a thick head. Hoppy and somewhat oaky and malty. Thick taste that's a bit more organic than I normally enjoy. Never been a big Portland brewing fan though, so take it with a grain of salt ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, a 22oz from a mixed pack at Costco. The first shout-out is value, this is a helluva IPA on a budget. Not a world beater, but a decent IPA. Copper color with good clarity, topped with a finger of creamy khaki head. Lots of lacing. Nose is floral and caramel malt, same in the taste. Some herbals and lingering citrus. No complaints at this price point.

The best part of this beer is it’s reasonable cost. At $1.99 for a 22 oz. bottle at my local Bi-Mart, this IPA can be the value beer for you to start out your evening after work. Pours a dark, hazy bronze with a full creamy head. Taste a little bitter with a lingering after taste. Certainly not the best IPA you’ll ever have but, again, it’s a $1.99.

Bottle from the local Costco. Pours a very slightly hazy amber color with a very large light tan head on it. Nose is hoppy and grassy, but smells like it’s a bit old. Taste is moderately bitter, but doesn’t taste fresh, and has a cloying earthiness to it.

Reviewed from notes. Every time I had this beer, I had it in a pint glass. The appearance was a decent somewhat transparent amber color. I could see the carbonation rising within and filling a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing was somewhat there but just kinda went all over the place. The smell tried to be hoppy, but more or less showed bitterness for the sake of bitterness. The taste tried to be bitter and sweet, but the sweetness seemed more authentic than the bitter part of it. On the palate, it sat about a light to medium and showed a decent sessionable quality about it. Overall, I wish I found a date on this one and a date of consumption as I might be willing to try this again just for bottling purposes.

Typical northwestern IPA, high fluffy head, citrus and pine rule the roost for aroma and flavor, mild bitterness finishes

Bottle. Pours orange gold with white head. Nose and taste of toasted grain, old citrus peel, harsh grass and caramel malt. Medium body.

OK IPA that seems to have an English-style slant. Lots of caramel (way too much, IMO) and a bit of toast/roast. Hops are subdued, yet pleasantly grassy and floral. Bread-crust-like bitterness. Not bad, but it doesn’t hold my attention.

Subdued for an IPA but pretty good. Nose of hops and a hint of citrus, taste is hoppy but not very bitter. No other flavors really jump out at me. Proof I like this: I bought 6-packs 4 different times in the span of a month. (Caveat: it was marked as being on sale for $7.99 but ringing up at $5 even at the grocery store, so re-buys were an easy call. At $8.99 now I’ll try something else.)
