An average lager. Bready/wheaty, slight maltiness, alcohol is a bit noticeable. Somewhat smooth but not too easy to finish for the tongue. Nothing standout.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear golden pour one finger head. Aroma of oranges and weedy hops. Tastes honey, bready, herbal hoppy, spicy grain with a sharp edge of bitterness. Seems also a bit harsh in the alcohol. Well balanced between bitter and sweet though & definitely not plying. Slight dryness to the finish also some wheaty mouthfeel and wetness. Complex & refined in flavor but also a bit rough around the edges.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Colour...clear amber with a thick off white head. Nose...candied malt, honeysuckle, beeswax and honey butter. Palate...delicately sweet but by no means cloying. There are more honey like flavours across the palate and plenty on malt, toffee crisp and snips of hops on the lengthy finish. Good to see this helles in circulation again!
