Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear, vibrant gold with a moderate, frothy white head. Dried pale malts in the nose, some straw and lemon rind. Light sweet flavor, some pleasant dried citrus notes, lemon and tangerine, some biscuity pale malts. Light in body with fine carbonation. Well conditioned. Clean, lightly bitter finish, further biscuity pale malts, dry lemon. A very pleasant, easy-drinking golden. Good work.

Cask in the Goodmans Fields Spoons. Almost clear gold beer. Tidy white head. Smooth palate, very mild carbonation. Bit of a grainy start, bearable! All right orange citrus hops on the back end. Smooth finish. Drinkable. Would be good with less raw tasting malt at the start.

Cask pint in The Marquis Cornwallis, WC1 - not a serious real ale pub, but beers are well-kept. Aroma: subtle, hoppy Appearance: very clear light gold; medium frothy white head - tiny bubbles Taste: very dark licorice taste with slight salt Palate: light, thin, lengthy hoppy finish on back of tongue Overall: Better than average pale ale, with a great, if rather two-dimensional, taste. Refreshing, but too strong a taste for summer sessions.

Cask @ The Willow Walk. The pour’s a light gold color with a creamy white head. The nose is white grape, some lemon drizzle cake, white bread. Some light woody hop aromas. The taste is general pale malts, some cake, notes of apricot and golden apples. Honey. Smooth drinker, light body, soft carbonation. Overall a pretty decent beer.

Cask pint in the Crown & Anchor Brixton. Colour is touch hazy amber, nice fresh cask foamy white head. Nose is ale fruity, musky, grainy malt character. Taste is musky grainy malt, with some nice bitter green leafy hop coming through, alongside the standard English ale fruity characteristics. Hoppy English golden ale.
