Cask conditioned handpump Marquis London 05/07/13. An amber coloured beer. Not good. Vinegary acidity. Fruits. Reasonable enough body but the flavours are all wrong. This pub always has a Portobello or two on so even if this is the pubs fault the beer takes a hit for being here.

Blue Anchor, Hammersmith. Pale and hoppy. Boring. You’ve had lots of beers like this, and this one offers nothing special - indeed offers a little less than average.

Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 31 Jan 2013. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma of freshly cut grass, caramel and crusty bread. Some citrus zest in the flavour, along with toffee and satsumas. Finish was quite dry, with cereal, resin and raisins.

Cask at the Magpie, amber with a big fluffy and clinging white head, grapefruit-citrus and grassy nose, crisp and malty with a generous hoppy bite, pretty well balanced for the hoppiness, dry citrus-bitter and faintly nutty finish.
