Cask conditioned handpump Wellington London 30/04/13. A yellow coloured beer with a white head. Diacetyl blighted with bitter hops in the background. Does mellow after a while but the diacetyl is a bugger.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Keg, The King’s Head, Leicester. Golden with a thin head. Aromas are biscuit with lemon and light grapefruit. Hints of pineapple with melon and cardboard. Flavours are grain with lemon. Some hints of cheese with a bit of a dead character and too much fizz. Enough to put you off keg. £2.20 for a half of this limp effort. Pah!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
August 29, 2013 - hand-pull cask at The Gunmaker’s. clear gold with a small frothy white head. Simple golden ale - light grain, hint of apple, floral, no alcohol. Taste follows, quite grassy with an odd but not unpleasant grapeseed tang to it. Light, slick, astringent, mildly carbonated with a surprisingly medium-long dry grassy pithy finish. Solid.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at The Windsor Castle Kensington. Bright gold with a tiny white head. The nose is biscuit, soft summery citrus fruits. Lemon drizzle cake. A bit ’o pee. The taste is sugar cookie, juicy lemon meat. Dry citrus finish. Simple stuff, but eminently drinkable. Light body, soft. A nice golden. I have to admit that this brewery has continually exceeded my modest expectations.
