22 oz. bottle from tertons (from notes). Pours a deep copper color with a medium sized off white head. The nose has sweet caramel malts, raisin, ripe fruits, with a hint of grape juice. The flavor has sweet caramel malts, hint of chocolate, raisin, ripe fruits and a touch of bitterness to the finish. I was told to wait for a bit because this was hot young, but when we consumed the beer the alcohol was well hidden.

Thanks to Josh for sharing. Pours a deeper brown with amber notes and a medium bubbly tan head. Aroma of tobacco, dark fruits, nuts, toffee and lightly toasted malt. Flavor of dark fruits, toffee, tobacco, raisons and nuts.

Pours ruby-tinged mahogany into a snifter. Tan head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Sweet summer fruit aromas. Thick with citrus, strawberry and caramel upfront turning warming in the lasting bitter pith finish.

22oz bomber shared by Madvike. Slightly hazy, orange-tan. Really clean, well executed Barleywine. Piny orange tones. Big hop action, but really smooth and drinkable for the ABV. A great Barleywine through and through.

Growler thanks to blutt59. The smell is fruits, malts, alcohol, and ok. The look is clear, brownish, and has no head. The taste is alcohol, malts, fruits, and good.

Thanks to Mike for this... Looks really good, nice mahogany, light tan head... Smells a little stale, vomit, caramel... tastes like burning, caramel but super hot, weird chalky finish... Not very good

Growler kindly shared by Jason! The beer pours to a deep mahogany body with a creamy khaki head. The aroma is sweet barley sugar and light tobacco. Some grassy hops and molasses. The flavor is fantastic. Very, very easy to drink. Deep malt flavors and sweet barley. Tobacco and a light molasses. Rich but finishes clean. 11+%? seems more like 4.5%. :) The beer may be the most session-able high ABV one Iíve ever had.

22 oz bottle. Deep brown with some off-white froth. Nose is caramel, dusty attic and earthy hops. Medium light with moderate carb. Taste is butterscotch, apple, orange peel, grass and sweet red wine. A different take on a barleywine. Very tasty.

Draft @ the brew pub. They have on an aged 2009 vintage. I found quite the treat today. Deep red, nearly brown in color, very thin head. Sweet, rich nose. Taste is dark dried fruit, toffee, caramel with a mild bitterness. Body was full, yet very easy to drink. The high ABV is very light in this Gem. This isnít a style a drink a lot of but, Wow it aged nicely!

Bottle thanks to JohnGalt1 for sharing this. Pours out mahogany/brown topped with a nice head. Aroma is of caramel, rich roast malts, pit fruit, and a little pine hop. Taste is as the aroma but with some pit fruit sweetness.
