3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at brewery. Pours clear amber with just a trace of thin, fizzy white head. Aroma is caramel and cookie malts, plums, dates, floral hops, light woody notes, and some toast. Flavor is sweet, bready malts forward with supporting toffee, floral hops, and dark fruit esters; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours brown with a very small head. Aroma of booze, caramel malt, raisin, and bready pudding. Flavor is a lighter version of the tripel with more malty notes, fruitcake. Definitely an underwhelming dubbel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft @ brew pub. Darker amber in color. Head was small white bubbles that left lace. Aroma is yeasty, sweet candy sugar and honey, a touch of fruity esters. The taste includes fruits as well as some molasses, raisins, and lots of roasted malt. I liked this much better then the Belgian triple. It maybe a bit sweet for some people but not if you like malty brews. I would buy this again.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark ruby with a little hit. The smell is one of sweetness--both dark and tart fruits. The taste includes fruits as well as some molasses, raisins, and a bit of roasted malt. The body is medium and sweet, with a little bit of tartness coming in. Drinkability takes a little hit, as this one is a little too sweet, but overall a very nice representation of the style.

Bottle… Cloudy dirty orange ale with a small, white, fat-bubbled head. The nose is an estery, fruity, malty intermingling of date, plum, fig and dark raisins with a whisper of caramelly praline. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. Good balance, flavor-wise, but tangy and thin. Fig-like facet. Lightly tart finish. Bottle courtesy of hankchinaski!
