3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
@Weilands Market in Columbus. Hazy dirty amber with pillowy head that drops to a head cover, curtains of lace. Taste is caramel malt with hay and toast, joined midway through by assertive hops that, while strong, allow the malt to continue to share. Well conceived and quite drinkable.

Bottle pour deep golden. Nose sweet malt belgian ester almost, some floral/fruity hop. Taste bitter bite up front. Strong malt then fruity sweet with some spice. Bitter finish. I would believe that this was made with belgian yeast from some of the fruit and spice.

12 ounce bottle stamped with 12229070130811 on it, I have absolutely no idea what that means. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy amber color with a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The brew smells like bready malt/wheat, along with some earthy/spicy hops. It tastes similar to the aroma, but with the addition of a bit of dried fruit and some grapefruit. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick and smooth. Not a bad brew at all, bought a single bottle at Weiland’s. If I’m ever in the area I’ll have to stop in and try this fresh. I’ll have to try some of their other brews if I ever come across them.

Tasted on tap at brewery. Nice amber color with white head and good lacing. Strong floral hops aroma. Taste is not near as bitter as the aroma would leave you to believe. Low bitterness for a pale ale with a crisp and effervescent. I taste a hint of vanilla in the aftertaste. Tastes different than most pale ales but I like it.

This medium amber beer comes top with a fine head that leaves plenty of splotchy lacing. Very good clarity. Adequately hopped, with more pine than earthy/herbal hops. Not my favorite hop profile but certainly a very well crafted beer. Mildly bitter with a slightly higher level at the finish. and, unlike their flagship pilsner, not lacking in hops. Medium body with very good, medium carbonation. Smooth.
O: Very good for style.

12oz bottle, from Burritos & Beer in Athens, OH. Clear red orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves decent bits of lace. Fruity hop (some pineapple, grapefruit), kind of spicy, lightly toasty, biscuity malt. Above average hop and bitterness for a pale ale. Little sweetness. Some light pine. Medium-plus body. Crisp, lighter carbonation. Pretty good, more assertive pale ale.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A slightly hazy amber color with a small white head. Aroma is mainly caramel malts. Some hop bitterness in the taste. I am not sure if this lack of hops is intentional or just a stale beer in either case this one lacks punch and qualifies as more of an amber style than anything else.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Poured clear amber with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly and produced fair lacing. Moderate hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of short to moderate duration. Average drinkable brew.
