3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Welcome to Portsmouth NH, home of the gruit. This one isnt doing it for me. Sweet and oddly fruity like an old fruit salad with less sweetness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at GABF. Really interested to give this a go. Pours a ruddy and murky brown with minimal head. Nose is quite floral and fruity, light spice notes, chocolate as well but mostly fruity. On tasting, the chocolate is more pronounced, lending the bitterness, some generic fruitiness comes across to make this really pleasing. Decent bitterness. Solid beer.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft @ Brewery. Served in a Stem glass. Brown with a red hue, kind of like muddy river water. It was served real cold; don’t get anything in the nose. Taste as it warmed I got a big plum flavor, with a hint of tart peaches. Has a porter like backbone. A touch of some sort of spice in the finish. To me, it’s like a fruit beer meets a porter. Very creative and inventive. Not sure I would really drink it again. Ok, to try.
