Bottle from the source Pours a lightly hazy deep straw color with a huge bubbly white head that dissipates rather quickly. Aromas of spiced bread with some earth salty hints and some yeast derived phenols. Salty spicy bread with hints of lemon and a bit of spicy earthy yeast character. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Might be a bit salty for my tastes, but it sure did disappear rather quickly.

Bottle (22 oz). Shared by czar, thanks! Clear yellow/golden with no head and no lacing. Aroma is of cereals, herbs, coriander (way too much at first, but then is settles) and salty notes. Taste is mild with coriander, cereals, salt and grassy notes. Light body. Slightly watery mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Not really sour and a tad too much coriander, but still an interesting drinkable Gose.

Pour is light hazy yellow with little white head and little to no lacing. Aroma has coriander, orange peel, light tartness, wheat. Taste has low sweetness with light saltiness, a bit of tartness. Low body and medium-low carb.

22 oz bottle shared by Cam (notes 2011). Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have some sweet malts, pale malts, light citrus, herbal, grass, the salt character is not as strong as other examples of the style. Pretty good.

Draft at the source. Murky yellow color, small white head, solid lacing. Aroma of black pepper and lemon bubblegum, very nice. Taste is also peppery bubblegum.

Pours a crystal clear light blonde color with a decent finger of fizz... light aromas and flavors of peach, lemon, grain and touches of coriander. Lots of bubbles in this one, good cleansing mouthfeel but lacks the tart acidity that makes this a style one I seek out.

On-tap @ Portsmouth Brewery, same time as my Berliner review. Served in a yard glass at the counter of the bar. Needless to say, I was impressed. Smells immediately of wheat bread, pistachios, lemon zest, coconut, and rust. Tastes of mashed wheat, mint sprigs, coconut, noble hops, olives and tangerine. I can indisputably taste the salt in this beer -- it’s both quenching and very effective on the palate. Oddly, this was my favorite beer tried at Portsmouth.

On tap at Southern New Hampshire Brewers Fest. Enjoyed in a 2 ounce glass. Light orange cloudy appearance. 1 finger. Smells has a light and fruity tropical aroma. Very floral and bright. Taste is incredibly light bodied. Like drinking unsweetened apple juice with honey and cinnamon. It’s very light and easy to drink.
