Pours a crystal clear light blonde color with a decent finger of fizz... light aromas and flavors of peach, lemon, grain and touches of coriander. Lots of bubbles in this one, good cleansing mouthfeel but lacks the tart acidity that makes this a style one I seek out.

On-tap @ Portsmouth Brewery, same time as my Berliner review. Served in a yard glass at the counter of the bar. Needless to say, I was impressed. Smells immediately of wheat bread, pistachios, lemon zest, coconut, and rust. Tastes of mashed wheat, mint sprigs, coconut, noble hops, olives and tangerine. I can indisputably taste the salt in this beer -- it’s both quenching and very effective on the palate. Oddly, this was my favorite beer tried at Portsmouth.

On tap at Southern New Hampshire Brewers Fest. Enjoyed in a 2 ounce glass. Light orange cloudy appearance. 1 finger. Smells has a light and fruity tropical aroma. Very floral and bright. Taste is incredibly light bodied. Like drinking unsweetened apple juice with honey and cinnamon. It’s very light and easy to drink.

My Bottom Line:
This lean and subtle Gose profits from its delicate tartness and spiciness to build a quenching experience.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the veiled pale blond.
-Salt is mostly perceived in the nose.
-This feels even lighter than it is.
-Coriander is well levelled with the rest of the flavor profile.
-I would have liked a softer mouthfeel. Carbonation was prickly and made up of tons of minute bubbles. Poor head retention too…

Bottle.

(Rating #4143)

Bomber bug thanks to MtGoat.
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with small head. Small head retention, no lacing.
Aroma : Fruity with light salt. Light herbal notes. Nice lacto.
Taste : Light lacto with nice fruits. Citrusy and salty. Finish is quite citrusy with herbal notes.
Palate : Nice fizzy and fluffy carbonation.
Overall : Quite nice. Less salty than other gose I’ve tried. Very refreshing, quaffable. Pretty good !

Pours a lightly hazed pale yellow with a nice fluffy head. Nose is pretty nice and balanced. Soft yogurt and citrus, floral coriander. Pretty clean overall, akin to a Belgian wit. On tasting, mild salinity, could use a touch more salt and a touch more tart. Bready and dry, more of the citrus comes through again. Really solid beer but could be amped up a little bit. Nice.

Draft at the brewpub. Lightly lightly bready/grainy malt and clove in the aroma, almost a briny character appearing here, some unusual herbal/spicy tinges and very faint tartness as well. Faint hint of trash(? -- This might sound odd, but I don’t mention that character in a bad way, it’s just interesting, I think). Fully hazy light golden color, head is fully subsiding. Spicy, lightly citric, salty flavor, gently malty and herbal, some pale grains and mild spice appearing at the finish. Some very light tartness and acidity here as well. Smooth and very low in carbonation, very clean and light-bodied. Refreshing!

Poured hazy yellow with white head, aroma brought notes of slight fruit, honey, some spice, funky barnyard, touch of salt, hints of lactic tartness as well in there. Taste was fairly nice, notes of some fruity wheat, honey and biscuit notes, some slight funk and lactic notes going well with the hint of salt that you found. Wish the salt was a bit more pronounced, but a fairly well done brew.

Gabf. Moderately hazy, light yellow appearance with a pearl white head. Slightly spicy, yeasty, wheat malty aroma. Moderately spicy, yeasty, quite salty, wheat malty flavor. Interesting but I have a bit of a hard time dealing with the salt.
