VTHopHead (670), Barre, Vermont, USA May 26, 2008 Draft at the brewpub - Poured a medium dark brown in color with a small light tan head that faded quickly. Aroma was of roasted malts and mild of spicy hops. Flavor mirrored the aroma fairly well with roasted malts dominating and a nice hop bitter finish. The palate is a bit too thin. A good session beer...
OldRaspy (266), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 25, 2008 On tap at the brewery, brownish in color with a small beige head. A roasted malt aroma. Flavor followed aroma with the roasted malt and a slightly spicy note. urnamesucks (92), New York City, New York, USA Aug 20, 2008 The best beer of the ten in my sampler. We stayed longer and I had another two before we headed off to Massachussetts. SQNfan (436), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jun 30, 2008 On tap at the brewpub during the KtG release: Like the rest of the beers in the lineup that day this was a really well-make and balanced beer. Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 24, 2008 Amber-brown colour. Toasty, nutty nose. The flavour is a bit husky, with nutty notes and a slightly astringent finish. Beershine (1214), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 17, 2008 Draught, sample @ brewpub. Deep reddish-brown with white head and some lacing. Slight whiff of grain but otherwise a mild and unassertive nose. Soft, clean mouthfeel. The roasted malt flavors are its most outstanding feature, and it also has a nice sweetness that works. Is thin and quaffable.
