Didn’t expect to like this one much, as I usually don’t like beers with multiple spice additions at lower gravities, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It’s not that the spices aren’t prominent; they are, but the flavor they create really matches the sticky, honeyish malts and they sink in to the pillowy, chewy body and then are dispersed about the palate by the ample carbonation. Quite homogenized, as well, not being starkly citric, spicy or herbal, but rather zesty and refreshing, with a moderate sweetness and a strong note of bubblegum that was surprising.
Aroma dosent seem to be too strong or complex, allowing mostly ginger with a shade of lime, and very little malt depth.
But the flavor is clean, the body soft, yet attenuated enough for its gravity and lacking of any flaws.
Hazy blonde with some stronger copper tints and a medium-sized white head that laces minimally.

October ‘09 O-Town Throwdown, courtesy of Daknole. Pours cloudy golden, white head. Aroma of lemongrass, hops with a fresh bitter hops nose. Flavor, same as aroma, light lemongrass, thin bitter mouthfeel with hints of citrus, palate keeps some hints of spices / ginger. Tasty.

22oz bottle-shared by hbmason-pours an off white head and hazy yellow/gold color. Aroma is lemon, wheat/grain, soap. Taste is lemon, wheat/grain, spice-ginger. Soft carbonation. A tad thin, especially given oats were used.

On tap at the source. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is lemon grass, lime and wheat. Sweet flavor with a citrus taste, again lemon and lime, as well as a ginger spiciness. Medium bodied with very aggressive carbonation. Almost a lemon/lime soda, with alcohol.

Pours hazy gold into a pint glass. Off-white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Lemongrass and coriander aromas. Thin with sweet floral bubblegum upfront turning to lasting grassy finish.

On draft from the source. Hazy gold color with light head retention. Nose is spicy wheat and lemongrass. This is a light bodied beer with notes of lime, ginger, yeast and a light spice finish. Simple yet refreshing. Spice and hops make this a thirst quencher, decent.

BitchesBrew (714) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 8, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 20, 2006 Pours a golden yellow color, with a very minimal head. Aroma is quite sweet- mostly lime juice and hops. At first, the flavors seemed quite plain, kind of like a hopped-up Hefe. As it warmed, however, it’s ginger and lemon/lime characters began to show through, with a very nice wheat background. Finishes crisp and sort of tart.

Draught. Semi hazy, orange, with small white head. Lemon and faint spice in aroma. Flavor is light and lemony (kind of like an air freshener). End is slightly hoppy--the dryness and wheatiness clash (in a pleasant way!). Refreshing.
