Commercial Description:
Hardly a mild beer! With big hop flavor and aroma this light-colored medium-bodied ale is light in alcohol and big in flavor. A session beer. (Editor's Note: I had to change the style because this is not even close to a mild)

My Bottom Line:
Minty, citrusy and resinous hoppiness leaps and bounces off the slender biscuity cereals in this highly quenching miniature version of an American India Pale Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thin foam cover idles atop the cloudy blond orange.
-If you are a hophead, you will surely not mind that this is hop-focused and nearly linear. And what such a low alcohol percentage, you can have a few more!
-The wooden, resinous hop finish is quite assertive.
-The body is quite lean, which is to be expected, and helps increase drinkability.

On tap at the brewpub.

Bottle, from the brewery
Golden-amber colour. The aroma shows a light fruitness (berry, lemon). A fresh, juicy, berryish beer, with some light toasty, caramelly malts. Fairly dry finish. Really quaffable, though to call it a mild is a serious stretch.

Bottle. Warm, rich golden color with little head. Mild grain aroma with grass, bark, corn, brass, and soil. Nice soft mouthfeel. Nicely earthy with a hop kiss in the aftertaste. Earthy, hoppy mild--very nice session brew I could do more often.

Cloudy amber pour with a thin white head. Good aroma of fruity, resinous hops. Good flavor of fruity, resinous hops. The body is light and oily while the carbonation is soft. Nice.

Draft at the brewpub - Poured a nice golden amber in color with a small white head that faded quickly. Aroma was mild of hops and some maltiness. Flavor matched the aroma pretty closely with the hops asserting themselves a bit more than the malts. Nice piney hop finish. "Milds" are not normally my favorite beer, but this was better than average,

(Rating #1694)
