Possmann’s flagship is the one product that has made the company the most recognized apple wine producer in Germany. The Frankfurter Apple Wine is a crisp, clear wine with the distinct harmony of a tart wine with fruit flavor of the apple. Fully fermented with 5.5% alcohol by volume, the apple wine contains no additives. It is extremely low on sugar, (recommended for diabetics), as well as very low on calories. With the natural fruit acids, the wine is very soothing and enhances digestion.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2013 Bottle shared with McTapps. Pours in clear yellow with no head. Aroma and nose are quite sour apples with a but of nuts. Taste is deep with a nice sourness in front and an undesribeable deepness in the background. This is what I call a nice surprise. Very special but I loved it.

Bottle 1L, a clear pale yellow cider without head and carbonation. Nose is acid like and with a dusty and burnt perfume. There is almost no aroma, just a vague over ripped apple note with a dry white wine body, very poor.

Pours yellow with a small, large-bubbled head. Aroma is dry, sour apple. Taste is much of the same, lightly acidic. Dry and harsh.

Pretty mild one. Slightly tart and funky. Thin body. Definitely a mass-produced one.

Brought by someone to the ISHA Zagreb 2012 NDP (thanks... hm, Sophie I reckon). Was positively shocked that I got to try something new yet again on one of those, really didn’t expect something like this. Clear yellow body. Sweet-sour musty nose, quite generic. Watery, tart, dry, slightly crappy apple taste. One of the more common ones I guess, and by far the worst I’ve had from Germany... and I thought that nothing could move Blauer Bock from that distinction.

single from mixed sixer from local Kroger .. Pours a lifeless deep yellow .. light headring .. . odd dull thin mouth .. . nice dryness, low sweetness which is nice, and a touch of bone funk- which is really nice .. . overall- a nice cider but the mouth is just to thin to make it a repeat .. . . if thats a big book, he must be a fuckin giant! run!!

(bottle) pours a clear pale yellow colour with no head. aroma of sweet apples and light bread dough, with a hint of lemon extract. flavour is mostly apple juice and compost, slightly tart, with a hint of earth, bread dough and solvent. light-bodied with average carbonation.

Pale yellow. Very light carbonation, visually. Rather sulphury aroma is not particularly pleasant, like stinky apple juice. Dry, thin, with lots of harsh tartness and sulphur. Definitely has some characteristics of a crappy white wine, but much drier and harsher. Pretty industrial stuff right here.

Bottle, left in the apartment by the previous tenant. Looks better in the glass than it does in the clear bottle. Terrible packaging makes it look like a soft drink. It pours flat. The aroma is dry, fairly resinous, with musty apple character hiding in the background. Smells more like a cheap white wine than a cider. It’s fairly tart, but has a mass-produced mealy Granny Smith flavor. There is no pleasant crab apple bite. The first sip makes me wince a bit, and it’s very thin. Worth what we paid.

Sour aroma with apple notes. Clear, light yellow body. Light bitter flavor. Light to mecdium palate.
