2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: Pale golden with a greenish sheen, quite clear, sweet apples with traces of apple-pips in the nose; mainly sweet flavour, not cloying, light bodied; sweetish apple-juice and some traces of real cider in the short and mild finish.A too sweet, but easy-drinking cider…

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Single from New Beer Distros. Restocked cider shelf. Yay! 11.9oz bottle. Huh? Fluted Tulip.
Clear, bubbly, 14k gold body.
Ticklish nose. Smells of bittersweet, slightly sharp, cooked apples. Straw, table sugar, coarse skin.
Taste is mostly sweet & mild, with an underlying cooked apple/caramelized sugar richness to it. Middling bitterness. Soft acid, light tartness. Drying oak on the finish. Not too hostile sulfites. A bit slick. Not too bubbly.
On the better side of six pack ciders. Somewhat flabby & probably too sweet, but a decent option at $10/4pk.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle with friends. A light clear yellow appearance with a tiny white head. Pure apple juice, lightly spicy aroma. Just tastes like apple juice as well. Hard to tell it’s a hard cider.

A decent cider, not a lot of depth but good apple taste. An easy intro cider for someone not used to it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. The best cider I have ever had. Pale gold wine like color. Aroma is of a bushel of apples. Taste is like biting into a tasty crisp apple. Love it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pasty blond, virtually no carbonation. Apple juice nose--like the stuff bought at the big box grocery store. Body has a bit more apple bite to it and some carbonation and life. Apple juicy and refreshing. Does not seem remotely alcoholic. Clean and enjoyable.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Very happy with this as a middle of the road cider for BBQs, hot afternoons, birthdays etc. Would be easy to drink a few one after another as opposed to some of the more filling ones out there. Similar balanced style to, but better than woodchuck. Slightly better than angry orchard and not quote as good as Zeffer. The Sam Adams of cider.

A lot of people out there who drink cider have a very common misconception that when they taste the enormous apple flavor of a cider, they taste it as being sweet when it’s really just very fruity and not sweet.
This is what I found with Possmann Pure Cider. I had the pleasure of trying some very recently and I was very pleased, probably one of the best sessionable ciders I’ve ever had.
I love the package first off, very simple and "pure" no pun intended. Stands out very well on the shelf as opposed to some of the other more "fancy" labels out there. I love the idea of a German cider to begin with, I’ve never seen any other German cider out in the market to begin with in the US.
It’s full of apple flavor, a small tinge of sweetness and finishes dry. Which is exactly what I want in my hard cider, a very solid balance. I encourage everyone to please give this a go with the idea in mind that fruity and sweet are two very different things. I bought a case to bring home with me in hopes that it’ll be on the east coast very soon!
