Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Draft at Taco Mac. Pours amber and clear. The aroma has a pumpkin spice quality with some neutral malts and a light graininess. The flavor follows the aroma: spicy, grainy, lightly malty. The finish is crisp, but a bit watery. The mouthfeel is light in body and crisply carbonated. Overall - perhaps a decent session beer, but rather plain.

12oz bottle from total wine and more in atlanta. clear darker orange pour with a sturdy white head. big earthy aroma of pumpkin spices. ugh... taste is sweet pumpkin funk. creamy medium texture with no carbonation makes it even tougher to choke down. I’m not a huge herb brew fan to begin with and this didn’t change that.

12 oz bottle, pours an orange-amber color with minimal head. Aroma is very sweet with pumpkin, caramel, malt, and spice. Flavor is very sweet but well balanced out by spices and bitterness. Palate is full and moderately rough. Good complex flavor and very easy to drink.

Pours a clear dark amber with off-white head and a lot of carbonation. Smells of spice, clove, nutmeg, and malt. Tastes is rather light of pumpkin spice and is not too sweet. A pumpkin pie taste takes shape as it warms up. Some hop bitterness and crispness on the finish. I’m not much of a pumpkin ale fan but this one is surprisingly drinkable.

Dark bronzy/orange body with a tall rocky cap floating on top that’s slowly dissipating creating large bubble creators in the mean time. spicy Cream cheese that’s heavy on the clove, soft pumpkin and non aggressive malts fill the nose. Thin malt character and heavy spice taste it seems nice, I even get some mild citrusy hops in the flavour. Brew feels a touch thin and finishes empty and metallic. I guess it’s not bad tasting but I’m missing any of the pumpkin flavor. I wish the beer was thicker and more full, it was descent enough but easily forgettable.

From the bottle this ale pours a orange color with a white head. Aroma of pumpkin, spice and malt. Nice balanced taste of pumpkin with cinnamon and nutmet along with a malty body. Still not a huge fan of the pumpkin ales but this is one of the better ones out there.

bottle: nice light orange color. The pumpkin flavor really shines in this one. Sweet and malty, sprightly carbonated and smooth. Cinnamon and spice notes. One of the better pumpkin ales I’ve had this fall.
