Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bottle. Aroma of spiced pumpkin, primarily, with some nutmeg and eggnog. ‘Tis the season! Palate is medium-light, with mild carbonation. Flavor is pumpkin upfront, but also some spices, biscuit and alcohol. Finish is a little funky, pumpkin spice flavors meet some abrasive bitterness and astringency. Overall, this beer has its flaws, but I found myself enjoying the pumpkin flavors that complemented to a fairly standard pale ale (though it tasted more like a lager – Heineken – to me).

Decent, but far from the best pumpkin out there. slight metalic taste. Overall good, gets better the colder it gets.

A very good pumkin ale that leaves a bit of the spice on the palate like you had just eaten pumpkin pie. A little bitter on the taste, and not quite the full pumpkin aroma I would have liked.

Aroma was of spices with a little bit of pumpkin. Appearance was a clear orange/amber with an off white head. Taste was flavorful. Lots of spices, but I would have preferred more pumpkin taste. The finish was not as smooth as I would have liked. Overall all pretty good if you like lots of spices.

Bottle. Orange/amber in color. Good head. Weak aroma of pumpkin. Taste is a weak pumkin perfume. Not a very good pumpkin beer at all. Draino!

Poured a copper color into a pint glass with a white head. Had a spicy aroma, but the taste was not as good as expected. The nutmeg taste seemed to overpower the other spices in the beer and there was only a hint of pumpkin. I like pumkin ales, but I will keep looking for another one.

This beer was a surprise. Lots of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and nutmeg in the aroma, but the flavors have a hard time coming through in the flavor; it is much harder to find the flavor. More spice than pumpkin, but it is ok to try once. Slightly watery in flavor and finish, I expected a bit more from Brooklyn.
