Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bottle. Orange/amber in color. Good head. Weak aroma of pumpkin. Taste is a weak pumkin perfume. Not a very good pumpkin beer at all. Draino!

Poured a copper color into a pint glass with a white head. Had a spicy aroma, but the taste was not as good as expected. The nutmeg taste seemed to overpower the other spices in the beer and there was only a hint of pumpkin. I like pumkin ales, but I will keep looking for another one.

This beer was a surprise. Lots of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and nutmeg in the aroma, but the flavors have a hard time coming through in the flavor; it is much harder to find the flavor. More spice than pumpkin, but it is ok to try once. Slightly watery in flavor and finish, I expected a bit more from Brooklyn.

12oz bottle courtesy of markwise. Pours a dark clear amber color with a thick and frothy off-white head. Lively carbonation that sticks to the glass and provides lacing. Aroma is flower, pumpkin, spice, ginger, cinnamon, clove. Flavor is more spicy than pumpkiny with notes of banana, sweet malt and some strange flavors that are hard to decipher. Generally light body with a somewhat Pepto-Bismol peppermint finish. Aroma is probably better than the taste on this one.

(Bottle) Pours golden. The aroma is spicy with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg up front but there is also some subtle hints of ginger, cardamom, saffron, white pepper, and caraway. Also, light fruity with pumpkin and lemon. The flavour is spicy, light fruity and light citric with tones of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin and lemon. Light sweet, light tar and light dry. Light to medium bitter. The mouthfeel is soft and a bit tart. Light to medium bodied.

Light amber color, small white head. Herbal pumpkin aroma. Herbal cinnamon flavor. Cinnamon dominates aftertaste too, not much pumpkin in the flavor.

Bottle @ the RBESG08 Grand Tasting.
Pours golden yellow with a small, film head. Aroma is sweet, light coriander, some pepper and good deal of pumpkin. Light and thin mouthfeel. Flavour is perfume, pepper, pumpkin and lots of spices. Okay actually.

Transparent golden coloured, small airy white head. Very perfumey pumpkin aroma with herbal and spicy notes. A way too sweet. Like ekstedt said, not my cup of tee.
