Sweet vegetal flavours to the fore, quite sticky with touches of spice and a slight chemical tang. Short on the tongue with a sweet finish, almost boiled candy. Not too keen on this. georgekessel (68), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Flat, lager like flavor with very little pumpkin (where’s the pumpkin??). Frothy head, acidy on the palate, really tasted more like a lager then an ale. Golden color which might have had a slight orange hue. Dezzilu (211), Whitmore Lake, Michigan, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 15, 2007 Beer poured a pale golden color with a nice white head that stuck with the glass until the end. The aroma was nice with faint hints of pumpkin as expected. Unfortunately this is where the compliments end. The taste was incredibly ho-hum, with very little in the way of spiceyness. Granted, as the beer warmed towards the end of the glass the flavor did improve slightly, but I has hoping for a really festive type of autumn beer. This beer wasn’t. I am sure this would be better off the tap, but since I am no where near Brooklyn I doubt the opportunity will present itself. Cheers. Zaprozdower (41), Boone, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2007 Pours amber with a creme colored head. Spicy, strong aroma but a balanced malty and hop taste. Flavor could have used some more spices for a pumpkin ale but went done easily. Good beer for 50% off due to the chronological distance from October. Fin (3408), Merton, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2007 Bottle from Tesco, Aylesbury 13-12-07 ) quite shocked to see this in Tesco to be honest Poured copper coloured with an off white head. Tasted much better than I expected. I was anticpating something very sweet and spicy but found this to have a pretty good hop definition, and quite bitter, yes there was sweetness but it sat below and didn’t ruin things, pretty good. As you would think it tastes like straight up pumpkin. Pours golden brown, and stays on the palate for awhile with a longing pumpkin taste. My favorite pumpkin beer.
