Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

bottle. small off white fizzy head into clear semi-sparkling light amber body. aromas of light spices and pumpkin mostly, also noticed some aceticness which does take away from this pumpkin. I actually could have used a bit more pumpkin aromas, as this was a bit too watery.

Pours a clear light brownish orange. Has light taste of pumpkin. Very watery on the palate. Hints of floral, spice. Alcohol is not masked very well. Finished thin and spicy.

12 Oz Bottle. Planty, potpourri nose of mingled mulling spice, heavy on the nutmeg. Nice, but too much old lady house involved. Pours a clear bell pepper orange, white lacy frill above. Flavors comes forth with a dry, slightly thin, candied pumpkin with de rigeur pumpkin spice in boot. A flesh feel, with some musky starch notes. Good malt interface and a robust chunk of hops in the background, gummed with lemon juice. Really, this isn’t terrible, it has the signature, predictable spice and light calabaza flesh tones and the Noble hop bite. Not sticky, not overdone.

The best thing about this ale is the pumpkin flavour. It also looks and smells good. It’s a bit too bitter though and tastes like alcohol and water though it only has a 5 % ABV.

Very common pumpy but... not very good. Despite this failure, I will continue to drink new beers in order to proliferate chaos in my mouth.

Bottle. Golden copper color. Little head. Malty nose with the pumpkin clearly recognizable. Tastes like a fairly straight-forward pale ale with pumpkin flavor added. It’s smooth and crisp, but not overly interesting or one I’ll rush to drink again.

Bottle, 355ml. An amber colour with a small head. Aroma is rock, ginger, spices and a little hoppiness. Taste is quite sweet with more rock and ginger with malt, caramel and a hint of pumpkin. Quite an interesting brew.

Smells very strongly of spices. I can’t place the particular one, but its overwhelming. Pours a clear dark copper/red. Taste is a pungent mix of various spices that combines to give something resembling pumpkin pie. Overall not very pleasant.
