Tastes like a fairly straight-forward pale ale with pumpkin flavor added. It’s smooth and crisp, but not overly interesting or one I’ll rush to drink again. dj (419), Gloucestershire, England

Aroma is rock, ginger, spices and a little hoppiness. Taste is quite sweet with more rock and ginger with malt, caramel and a hint of pumpkin. Quite an interesting brew. mrant (330), New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Smells very strongly of spices. I can’t place the particular one, but its overwhelming. Pours a clear dark copper/red. Taste is a pungent mix of various spices that combines to give something resembling pumpkin pie. Overall not very pleasant. yesyouam (589), Fairport, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a hazy reddish-brown ale with a fading white head. It has a spicy aroma that suggests wood, malt, maybe cinnamon and nutmeg. It’s pretty smooth and a little watery. It’s a light-bodied ale that’s clean on the palate. There is no pumpkin detected in the aroma. There are notes of cinnamon, cassia, coriander and maybe nutmeg. Pale malt is prominent in the flavor. It’s a bit bitter, but politely so. It has a nice spice profile and a wooden aftertaste. It’s very pleasing. I’m glad I got a 6-pack. This is usually the case with Brooklyn. ghostmonkey (182), budd lake, New Jersey, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 6, 2007 A decent pumpkin ale. I had this one about 2 years ago, I can’t recall all the specifics, but I will say it was one of the better ones.
