Aroma of pie spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.) Taste was pretty much the same, couldn’t taste a whole lot of pumpkin. But the spices didn’t dominate the malt. So it’s an O.K. October beer. golubj (1286), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 27, 2007 Bottle. Pretty dry and spicy aroma with notes of some round orange squash. Flavor was similar but actually rather bitter due to the spicing and the dry finish. Would have liked a more ale-like body with these flavors. thoramel (39), USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 26, 2007 The only real flavor was from the pumpkin and spice mix which, while not unpleasant, wasn’t enough to make this beer worth it. Otherwise it was a watery failure of a beer with some flavor added. It did have a bubbly copper appearance that made you want to drink it and the aroma was pleasing, but the taste just didn’t live up to these features. At least it was drinkable. pforei (338), USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Tulip glass. Pours a clear brown/orange amber with a small quickly disappearing head. Cinnamon and nutmeg spice aroma with a sweet malt backbone. Taste is similar. Dry and bitter finish. Body is too thin. mgumby10 (1850), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 24, 2007 Pours a clear orange, with a medium white head. Smells of big pumpkin spice, with maybe some light malt in there too. The flavor leaned heavily on the pumpkin side, needed more cinnamon spice in my opinion. I liked my pumpkin beers balanced between the two flavors. This was a decent effort, but definitely was a little too much pumpkin for me. Probably wouldnt try again. kitschy (197), Nebraska, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 23, 2007 in bottle. an amber color with a pumpkin aroma. A very consistent beer, in that it looks, smells, and tastes like pumpkin pie. Body may be a bit light to carry the flavor. End has both hop and spice notes, with a concluding bitterness. rocbyter (910), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 23, 2007 In the bottle from Inari Wines. Wow! This has a real pumpkin pie aroma- lots of cinnamon and nutmeg. Amber in color. Good ginger and clove flavors. The bitterness is nice at the ending. This beer has all the pumpkin spices, but really none of the body of pumpkin. Does this mean that they did not really use pumpkin at all in it, but took the shortcut of just spicing it up? Perhaps there are some pumpkin starches that made it into each batch, but clearly not enough.
