pforei (338), USA Sep 24, 2007 Tulip glass. Pours a clear brown/orange amber with a small quickly disappearing head. Cinnamon and nutmeg spice aroma with a sweet malt backbone. Taste is similar. Dry and bitter finish. Body is too thin. mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Sep 24, 2007 Pours a clear orange, with a medium white head. Smells of big pumpkin spice, with maybe some light malt in there too. The flavor leaned heavily on the pumpkin side, needed more cinnamon spice in my opinion. I liked my pumpkin beers balanced between the two flavors. This was a decent effort, but definitely was a little too much pumpkin for me. Probably wouldnt try again. kitschy (197), Nebraska, USA Sep 23, 2007 in bottle. an amber color with a pumpkin aroma. A very consistent beer, in that it looks, smells, and tastes like pumpkin pie. Body may be a bit light to carry the flavor. End has both hop and spice notes, with a concluding bitterness. rocbyter (902), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Sep 23, 2007 Aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon. Clear amber color with a small white head. Light bodied with a spicy taste. A little watery. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Sep 23, 2007 In the bottle from Inari Wines. Wow! This has a real pumpkin pie aroma- lots of cinnamon and nutmeg. Amber in color. Good ginger and clove flavors. The bitterness is nice at the ending. This beer has all the pumpkin spices, but really none of the body of pumpkin. Does this mean that they did not really use pumpkin at all in it, but took the shortcut of just spicing it up? Perhaps there are some pumpkin starches that made it into each batch, but clearly not enough. JAF737300 (791), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 22, 2007 POurs a hazy orange red. It gives notes of cloves and spices (especially some sweet ones). The pumkin shows a bit more on the finish. DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Sep 22, 2007 Updated: Oct 7, 2008Brooklyn makes a fine cinnamon spiced pumpkin ale. Pours a amber orange and has a nice spice finish in the back of the throat; not too much pumpkin overkill....nice easy drinking festive seasonal ale. yankeefan21 (82), USA Sep 21, 2007 At first, I was pretty happy. This poured a nice amber with a one finger head flowing over the top of the glass. The smell of pumpkin pie was unmistakable. That’s also the first taste that tickles the tastebuds. Then the ale sets in. It finishes with a dry coppery feeling in your mouth. There are way too many good pumpkins out there to have to drink this.
