Pours a amber orange and has a nice spice finish in the back of the throat; not too much pumpkin overkill....nice easy drinking festive seasonal ale. yankeefan21 (82), USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 21, 2007 At first, I was pretty happy. This poured a nice amber with a one finger head flowing over the top of the glass. The smell of pumpkin pie was unmistakable. That’s also the first taste that tickles the tastebuds. Then the ale sets in. It finishes with a dry coppery feeling in your mouth. There are way too many good pumpkins out there to have to drink this. DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Bottle. Deep amber color with no head. Spicy aroma (lots of cinnamon) with some pumpkin. Flavor is spicy as well, with more pumpkin and some sweet malt. Finishes quite dry and spicy with a slight touch of hops. Medium-bodied. Not very good but quite enjoyable. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Bottle - Poured a orange-tinged amber color, lightly active with just a wisp of any head. The aroma hints at some nutmeg, but is fairly restrained. The flavor is more robust ... with aspects of the obvious (pumpkin filler, cinnamon, nutmeg) and a hint of doughy malt. Among the more even-keeled pumpkin ales I remember, not overpowering, yet fitting the expected vein. More prounounced hop flavor than Shipyard’s pumpkin and fuller mouthfeel than Jack’s Pumpkin Spice. Good head that lasted throughout session. jstraw (756), Chicago, Illinois, USA

And holy crap the 6er cost me the same as one of their brews at the Newark Airport jazz bar thingy. medium shade of gold in the glass with nice small lacing leftover from the head. Nose is of spices and that is also the dominant part of the taste. Pumpkin pie spice is all that you taste. overpowers the rest of the thinner body. A nice seasonal.
