Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

This beer was ok pours an orange with your average thin white head. No real aroma to speak of a little sweetness comming in i suppose. Taste is spicy and pumpkin and suprisingly more bitter than i would expect. This beer was still kinda dissapointing.

Bottle. Poured a cooper color with a creamy off white head that lasted and left moderate lacing. The aroma was very sweat with pumpkin, spices (mainly nutmeg), and candy corn. The flavor found wheat and spices. It is mainly sweat but has a light bitter ending. Light to medium body.

Tried this last night. Not really enough spice for me as far as seasonals go, but really good. Very carbonated.

Bottle. Amber/dark gold with a small foam. Aromas are herbal and vegetable with good earthiness. Quite fruity. Flavours are sweet root vegetables with liquorice and spices. Very herbal in character. Has a good sparkle. Interesting.

(tap at d.b.a.) Clear pale-copper body with a small white head. Very nice fruity and spicy (basil, cinnamon, nutmeg) aroma. Smells like a spicy cinnamon bun. Taste is a letdown. Body is a bit watery. First you get some fruity notes, then nothing, then a surprising medium bitterness. Nothing offensive but you won’t find many things as uninspiring this Halloween as this pumpkin Ale except maybe for a pair of big glasses and a fake moustache.

Any first impressions?
-A veil of foam settles atop the clear, light orange.
-An attractive spicy pumpkin pie perfume showcases plenty of nutmeg and pumpkin seeds.
-The first half of the sip exhibits the aforementioned pumpkin pie flavors, but the last half is not as outgoing.
-The lean body is very drinkable, but watery passages make it too thin to my liking.

What if you dig deeper?
-The feeble finish is aqueous and boring.
-A little more maltiness in flavor and body would have been nice.
-Spices aren’t overdone in this well-balanced flavor profile.
-This is a pumpkin ale obviously made for sessions and novelty lovers. I don’t think you win from being overly critical with this beer.

On tap at d.b.a., Manhattan.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma of pumpkins and spice. The flavor is sweet, pumpkins, and spice. Good beer.
