Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bottle sampled with Beerded one. Pours bronze with a small of-white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie, spices, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet, pumpkin pie, and spices. The body is thin, yet this is still slightly enjoyable.

Aroma is pumpkin spice, ginger. Flavor is much the same, also cinnamon, with a malty backbone. I really like the fact that this beer is thin and light on the pumpkin. Ive had pumpkin brews that were just overpowering with the pumpkin. Or tasted like they used cheap ingredients. Recommended.

Pours a thin amber with a film for head. Aroma is light of ginger, and pumpkin pie. Very thin & watery with only a light suggestion of spice and a slight bitterness present in the finish. Not too good.

bottle. Aroma: Spicy with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Pumpkin is there, but not as prevalent as I would have hoped. A touch of sweet malt and caramel. Appearance: Medium orange in color and clear. Off white head was thin and fleeting. Not much lacing. Flavor: Spices jump out front in the flavor, as well. Again cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove seem to be the major players. Pumpkin comes through clear with a light sourness. A good slightly sweet maltiness and a bit of caramel. Palate: Medium-light bodied and slightly watery. Medium-high carbonation. Finish was slightly sour. Overall: A pumpkin beer should showcase pumpkin, and this one doesn’t. More spicy with a pumpkin undertone. Not bad, but there are better.

Decent pumpkin beer. The aroma is of the usually list of spices but this beer has the body that many pumpkin ales are lacking. One of my favorites but still never as good as i remember it/ want it to be from the previous year.

Pours orange with an off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie and some cloves. Tastes almost like a normal amber ale, a hint of pumpkin and bitterness. Dry finish, average palate.
