Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Nov 4, 2005 Slightly phenolic cinnamon aroma. Medium orange-brown, big head, bad label. This was a very drinkable beer, dry and fruity. Medium body. Light burn on the finish and not too bitter. Finish is malty. Loses CO2 and goes a bit flat. Balanced for a class of brew that gets a little ham-handed in the nutmeg department sometimes. Picked this bottle up from a Bleeker St market in NYC on the first HHR trip, early Oct 2005. Pernille (518), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 4, 2005 Bottle. Clear, bright orange color and a small head. Pumpkin is present in both aroma, flavor and palate. I like it in the aroma and palate, but it’s weird in the flavor. Sobchak (131), Skagen, Denmark Nov 4, 2005 Bottle. - Golden amber colour. Spicy and slightly toasty nose. Very spicy taste, with a clear taste of pumpkin and the spices used to brew it, finishing with a pretty distinctive drynesss. FistFullOfCats (162), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Nov 2, 2005 Bottle. Pours a pretty amber color with minimal head. Aroma was lightly spiced. Good flavor, though the pumpkin seemed lighter than other pumpkin brews I had tried. Defiantly makes this brew less of a gimmick than many other pumpkin beers. Smooth finish, feels good on the ol’ palate. Not the best pumpkin I’ve had on the basis of it being a pumpkin beer, but a solid brew in its own right. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Nov 1, 2005 Pours a deep copper amber with a nicely-lacing, puffy off-white head. Has a dry earthy pumpkin spice aroma with a touch of breadiness. Body starts with a malty palate, but not much sweetness, a touch of cinnamon and a dry earthy pumpkin finish with a subtle hint of tartness. A very drinkable and balanced brew. LoveCaissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 31, 2005 Nice and interesting. Pretty clear amber colour with a disappearing head. Great spicy (cinnamon) aroma with subtle hints of "fruits" (pumpkin I imagine). Initial flavour is malty followed by a pleasant and surprisingly drinkable spiciness. The cinnamon makes me think of Christmas. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA Oct 31, 2005 Probably the best pumpkin beer I’ve ever had. The flavor was subtle and not overpowering like most pumpkin beers. burgerlicious (308), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Oct 29, 2005 The flavor is a bit coppery, but it’s tolerable thanks to the spiced pumpkin aroma and taste.
