Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Bottle. Amber in colour. Has a tan head that disappears quickly. Aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg, also some cinnamon. Has a pumkin taste and also taste of nutmeg and cinnamon. Has a sweet finnish and a spicy aftertaste.

Nothing against pumpkin ales in general but this one seems more of a "pumpkin pie" ale than a traditional pumpkin. Far too much nutmeg persists from start to finish while pumpkin is barely evident. Unimpressive color and weak body to match. Unpleasant organic finish.

Had in the bottle at lunch at Foster’s, and pretty sure we had at the Beer Fest. Very clovey aroma and taste. Pretty good.

Pours amber with a white head, nose is of pumpkin and dominated by spices. It has a light pumpkin, crisp, hopped taste to it and wasn’t really much of a pumpkin ale but was nice as a beer in general.

Clear golden - orangish color with a decent head that dissipated quickly but left good lacing. The spices in the aroma come through very strong - cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Mmmm, smells like pumpkin pie. But unfortunately, I taste no pumpkin and those sweet smelling spices are barely noticeable. It just tastes like a weak light - bodied pale ale. And has a flat and thin palate as well. Dissapointing.

A golden/amber color, with a little white head. A small hint of spice and a deffinate pumpkin aroma.
