Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

A copper color beer with no head. The aroma is malty, & pumpkin. The taste is pumpkin & spices. Taste like a mildly spiced pumpkin pie.

Pours a beautiful amber into the glass with a small off white head. Aroma actually has a fair amount of pumpkin instead of the usual heavy spices. Also present is cinnamon. Flavor is where this one loses me. Thin palate and a metallic off taste accompanies the pumpkin pie mix which dominates. Another pumpkin ale that I would not drink again. Maybe I’m just not a fan of pumpkin.

I love how this beer tastes of light, smooth pumkin, but not of vegetables, which is usually the failure of many in the style. this is surprisingly easygoing and smooth while tasting very natural. get yours today. Bottle at 2nd Annual Treasure Coast Beerfest in Ft. Pierce, Fla.

Bottle. Pours an orange copper color. Attractive white head. Aromas of pumpkin, spice, and floral hops. Flavors of pumpkin, spice, biscuit, and orange. Good mouthfeel, but feels watery as flavor drops out toward the back. Really brings of the essence of pumpkin in a very complimentary way.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with the marking: BEST BEFORE FEB 2010. It pours a handsome orange-copper with wild bubbles of carbonation goine every which way, but mainly upward. Nice thick puffy foamy head. There is a good dose of pumpkin spice, nutmeg, and sweeter hops in the aroma. Medium to heavy mouthfeel but also fairly carbonated. A good belch factor! The taste balances pumpkin spices and hops in an engaging fashion that reminds you Halloween is not far away. Quite drinkable.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark, clear copper color with a 1/2" creamy beige head. Aroma is mild pumpkin and malt. Palate is mediium in body with mild carbonation. Flavor is mild pumpkin without the artificial spicey flavor some pumpkin ales have. Also, some flavor of biscuit, wheat and malt. Very enjoyable.

Pours copper with white head that lingers. Aroma is strongly pumpkin pie. Worried that, like so many other Pumpkin beers, it will be too spicy. Taste isn’t as spicy as the smell. Seems watered down with a hint of soap. Body is thin with a lingering off-flavor. Typical Pumpkin beer- just okay.
