djd07 (724), Houston, Texas, USA Sep 25, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a clear copper with a medium frothy off white head that leaves good spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a strong cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin. Thin mouthfeel and a bit watery on the palate. The taste is a spicy pumpkin flavor with wheat and nutmeg. Not too much going on with this one. Fratto (670), Arlington, Texas, USA Sep 24, 2009 Bottle from bu11zeye. Nutmeg, malts, lots of ginger and a little pumpkin. Taste doesn’t match up. Somehow after having a piss poor, vegetation flavor, it finishes with more ginger. thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 20, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated light brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was dirty sock and pumpkin. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The strange flavor contained notes of nutmeg and pumpkin. Not one that I would buy again. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Sep 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a beautiful, lively pumpkin pie amber with a weak aroma of hay, malted oat, unripened pumpkin, and a touch of honey. Flavor is a mishmashed mess of pumpkin water spilled into a batch of light beer. Weak hay, feeble pumpkin, soured and stale malted grain and a lemon-esque finish. Watery and spritzer-like mouthfeel. Quite possibly the worst pumpkin ale I’ve tasted. Cavie (1318), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Sep 19, 2009 Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Clear red pour. Lots of spice and ginger. Taste is lots of spice. Some dryness but has a sweet spice flavor. Not bad but has some weakness on the finish. Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 18, 2009 Pours a lasting ring of off-white head with an amber-orange, clear body. Aromas of pumpkin and spices. Flavors of biscuit, pumpkin, little clove. Spices on the palate. Little thin and watery. BMan1113VR (2758), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Sep 18, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with minimal tan head over an orange body. Aroma of pumpkin, dryness, cardboard, vegital, straw and cinnamon. Taste is thin, vegital and acrid. Thin, fizzy and dry, drainpour.
I normally like pumpkin beers but this one was really bad. jumpjet2k (137), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 17, 2009 Bottle. A nice red-orange color, very clear, with an expansive light tan head. Definite pumpkin spice presence in the aroma, with a moderate amount of the pumpkin itself coming through. Flavor is somewhat uninspired, as a whole. Small malt presence is accompanied only by a light bitterness and a little bit of the pie spice. Fairly smooth palate. Not bad, but just not particularly interesting.
