Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with the marking: BEST BEFORE FEB 2010. It pours a handsome orange-copper with wild bubbles of carbonation goine every which way, but mainly upward. Nice thick puffy foamy head. There is a good dose of pumpkin spice, nutmeg, and sweeter hops in the aroma. Medium to heavy mouthfeel but also fairly carbonated. A good belch factor! The taste balances pumpkin spices and hops in an engaging fashion that reminds you Halloween is not far away. Quite drinkable.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark, clear copper color with a 1/2" creamy beige head. Aroma is mild pumpkin and malt. Palate is mediium in body with mild carbonation. Flavor is mild pumpkin without the artificial spicey flavor some pumpkin ales have. Also, some flavor of biscuit, wheat and malt. Very enjoyable.

Pours copper with white head that lingers. Aroma is strongly pumpkin pie. Worried that, like so many other Pumpkin beers, it will be too spicy. Taste isn’t as spicy as the smell. Seems watered down with a hint of soap. Body is thin with a lingering off-flavor. Typical Pumpkin beer- just okay.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear copper with a medium frothy off white head that leaves good spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a strong cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin. Thin mouthfeel and a bit watery on the palate. The taste is a spicy pumpkin flavor with wheat and nutmeg. Not too much going on with this one.

Bottle from bu11zeye. Nutmeg, malts, lots of ginger and a little pumpkin. Taste doesn’t match up. Somehow after having a piss poor, vegetation flavor, it finishes with more ginger.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated light brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was dirty sock and pumpkin. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The strange flavor contained notes of nutmeg and pumpkin. Not one that I would buy again.

Bottle.
Pours a beautiful, lively pumpkin pie amber with a weak aroma of hay, malted oat, unripened pumpkin, and a touch of honey. Flavor is a mishmashed mess of pumpkin water spilled into a batch of light beer. Weak hay, feeble pumpkin, soured and stale malted grain and a lemon-esque finish. Watery and spritzer-like mouthfeel. Quite possibly the worst pumpkin ale I’ve tasted.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Clear red pour. Lots of spice and ginger. Taste is lots of spice. Some dryness but has a sweet spice flavor. Not bad but has some weakness on the finish.
