Aroma is pumpkin pie, with lots of cinnamon and nutmeg coming through. Flavor is light and caramel malts, with a nice bit of spice and subtle hints of gourd and a slight bitter finish. Not a bad pumpkin brew. italianjohn (338), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2009 Pours an orange amber clear color with a little bit of white head aroma was great pumpkin spice cinnamon and nutmeg ... a good light/medium ale with taste of pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg its clean and crisp just wish it had more flavor fata2683 (836), Panama City, Florida, USA Sep 6, 2009 bottle, pours amber with a tall frothy light tan head. Wheat, sourness, and pumpkin nose. Lots of pumpkin flavor wtih a light spice and mildly sour malt finish. This is fairly refreshing, but every flavor from the pumpkin to spice is very light. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Sep 5, 2009 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours a clear orange/amber with quickly fading off-white head. Aroma is nice, some nuttiness, a little caramel, nutmeg, a little cinnamon, pumpkin. Flavor is tasty, some nutmeg, light cinnamon, pumpkin, faint sweetness, small malt back bone. Mouth feel is light-medium body with high carbonation. Overall, a nice tasty pumpkin beer, easy drinking and flavorful! kkearn (994), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 26, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours translucent orange amber, topped with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is dominated by spice, with notes of nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon, with caramel and pumpkin in the background. Pumpkin meat comes through a bit more on the palate than in the aroma. Nutmeg and allspice compliment the pumpkin and hang out for a fairly long finish. This was one of the first pumpkin ales I sampled, over a decade ago, and it’s still one of the best I’ve tried.
