Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

I do love pumpkin so was excited to try this one. Medium bodied pumpkin color with a creamyish head. The aroma was of beered pumpkin innards--and I realized on the instant, this was not going to be quite the delicious spice monster as Buffalo Bill’s version. This beer is delicately spiced giving the easy pumpkin flavor head billing. Authentic pumpking taste with moderate sourness. Similar to Elysian’s pumpkin ale.

Spicy nose, orangy-amber color and fluffy head. Meaty body full of nutmeg, cinnamon and pumkin flavors - like pumpkin pie. Pretty smooth and a great balance of complex tastes. One of the better pumpkins I’ve had.

This isn’t as bad as I thought it would or could be. Kind of overwhelming on the nutmeg but still a good blend. An excellent fall beer. ;)

Light orange body with big off-white head. Aroma is strong nutmeg, with some pumpkin and crisp hoppiness underneath. Flavor has nice hoppiness accented by the pumpkin and accompanying spices. Despite all that, a bit of unpleasant bitterness sneaks into aftertaste. Still, very drinkable, very fall, very nice.

Never had a pumpkin ale before this one, its is definitely unique, a good change if you want to try something different. Its pretty good, smooth and crisp, great to drink on a fall day watching football or give it to trick-or-treaters.

Golden color, white head. Hops and pumpkin-spice flavors battle with each other. Long bitter finish.

Lots of pumpkin flavor- nutmeg and cinnamon and pumpkin spices- very similar to harpoon winter warmer. Good winter ale.

Light pumpkin and spice flavors - was not syrupy. The background ale in this provided a nice bitter finish.
