Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

dchmela gave this to me at the Superbowl party. Not bad. Orange color (imagine that). Felt like a carbonated soda. Nice allspice and pumpkin aroma. Cool cinnamon and sugar hints in the taste.

Bottle from my cousin Sam. Orangish color with an almost white head. Aroma is full of pumpkin pie. Flavor is also loaded with pumpkin pie flavors but has some lemon notes and a tiny bit of bitterness. Good pumpkin beer.

Clear orange poor with a thick foamy off-white. Aromas of pumpkin pie, cumin, cinnamon, a hint of ginger and vanilla. Medium body, very low sweetness and good spicyness. Flavors are much the same as aromas... added nutmeg.

12oz bottle. Pours a bright orange color with a small head that quickly dissipates to a ring. The aroma is of nutmeg, cinammon, cloves and squash. The taste follows suit, with a malt presence and some lemony hops that prove a little more assertive. Slight pumpkin flavor comes through. The mouthfeel is quite full and carbonated. The finish is long and spicy.

Has a clear light red and bronze pour with white and off-white creamy bubbles, some effervescence, left nice bubbly lacing on the sides of the glass, aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg with faint vegetable-pumpkin and malt fragrances, some whiffs of pepper in the background, flavor of spices with fainter malt and pumpkin-vegetable, some malt sweetness, spices give some pepper on the palate along with the bitterness at the finish, easy to drink, medium mouth feel, one of the more enjoyable pumpkin ales I have tried, I found the spices to be a bit more assertive then the malt and pumpkin in aroma and flavor but pretty well balanced, has a nice presentation, the spices did not trounce my senses like some pumpkin beers, one to try if you haven’t.

Pours a transluscent amber color with nice fluffy white head. The nose is malty sweetness with pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavor is savory pumpkin and yeasty dough. Finishes crisp with a slight cinnamon after taste. Better than the others I had this fall.

Pours a red orange with a nice white head. Faint malt aroma with some metallic. Flavor of roasted malt and slight spice with a metallic alcohol finish. Decent but not my favorite.
