Spicy nose of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove with hints of caramel and malt. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes like a lightly spiced pumpkin pie. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body , watery texture and lively carbonation. Clean, crisp. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Not bad spices. Certainly not weak in that respect, but the body was weak and insubstantial, just watery on the finish and kind of dry/bland. But the pumpkin/cinnamon/nutmeg character was there and not too shabby. probstk (1027), Nepean, Ontario, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 11, 2009 12 fl. oz. bottle from LCBO, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. DE16/08.
App.: Clear deep amber with a smallish white head.
Aroma: Lots of ginger and clove, some molasses, like a spice cookie, some caramel and sweet malts, slightly buttery, butterscotch (diacetyl?).
Palate: Medium body and carbonation.
Flav.: Like the nose but slightly less spice, less malt, slightly more butter; dry (seems like it should be sweeter), basically no bitterness.
Fair for the style I guess. bconley (351), Fern Park, Florida, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Clear orange poor with a thick foamy off-white. Aromas of pumpkin pie, cumin, cinnamon, a hint of ginger and vanilla. Medium body, very low sweetness and good spicyness. Flavors are much the same as aromas... added nutmeg. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 19, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a bright orange color with a small head that quickly dissipates to a ring. The aroma is of nutmeg, cinammon, cloves and squash. The taste follows suit, with a malt presence and some lemony hops that prove a little more assertive. Slight pumpkin flavor comes through. The mouthfeel is quite full and carbonated. The finish is long and spicy.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Has a clear light red and bronze pour with white and off-white creamy bubbles, some effervescence, left nice bubbly lacing on the sides of the glass, aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg with faint vegetable-pumpkin and malt fragrances, some whiffs of pepper in the background, flavor of spices with fainter malt and pumpkin-vegetable, some malt sweetness, spices give some pepper on the palate along with the bitterness at the finish, easy to drink, medium mouth feel, one of the more enjoyable pumpkin ales I have tried, I found the spices to be a bit more assertive then the malt and pumpkin in aroma and flavor but pretty well balanced, has a nice presentation, the spices did not trounce my senses like some pumpkin beers, one to try if you haven’t.
