Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

A clear dark amber ale with minimal head. Sweet pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves in the nose. Tasty for certain, malts and spice. I like the bitter bite at the end. Very good, I was expecting a gimmicky beer but this is good!

Copper body with a medium white head. Spicy aroma with a very slight hint of pumpkin. Spicy start that leads into a bland finish. Decent pumpkin aftertaste.

From bottle, Thanks to JoeMcphee. Aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon. Amber colour with a thin white lace. Nice bitter texture. Flavour of pumpkin with subtle spiciness which gives it a nice tang. Little thin maybe but still a good pumpkin ale.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of pumpkin, nutmeg, sweet malts, yeast, and some slight floral hops. Flavor starts off with the nutmeg and pumpkin then gives way to the sweet malts, yeast, and floral hops. Doesn’t have too much of an aftertaste but it’s mostly the nutmeg and pumpkin. A decent brew even though I’m not really a big fan of pumpkin ales.

Bottled. This beer got better as it warmed up. All the flavors just came out. Nice spice taste wit a hint of the pumkin

Orange body, small off-white head, nose is more spice than pumpkin. Flavor is mostly allspice and nutmeg, with nutmeg in the finish. This is drinkable but not very good.

12oz bottle: Reddish gold pour with a fantastic pillow top head that laces all the way down. Looks like an autumn beer to me. The nose lots in the spice department - cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice immediately come to mind. Some deeper whiffs reveal ginger, white pepper and lemon zest. An interesting mix. The body adds a nice caramel malt sweetness to the mix, but could be a bit beefier to stand up to the heavy spices. Dries nicely on the tongue, almost becoming a bit chalky. Good.
