Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

12oz bottle from the LCBO. Pours a slightly dark orange with a large, off-white head, that actually laces the glass really well eventually. Aroma is really nice, all the pumpkin ale awesome deliciousness you’d expect, spices, fuller malt presence, some extra ’zing’ of nutmeg, or something, and something I’m not used to in the style, hops. The flavour is more of the same with definite hop bite in the finish which balances out a very sweet beer and is a very nice aspect to my palate. Really nice malty aftertaste with a hint of the pumpkin. Very characteristic malts and hops of this brewery. Very nicely done!

Pors a copper orange color with a medium off white head that settles to a thin film. Has a pretty nice aroma of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The flavor was a disappointment compared to the aroma though. The flavor showed a little bit of the pumpkin flavor, but without much of the spices to give it that nice sweet flavor. Medium bodied with a lot of carbonation that took away from the flavor as well. I was hoping for more from this one. This is a decent pumpkin beer at best.

12oz bottle from total wine and more in atlanta. clear darker orange pour with a sturdy white head. big earthy aroma of pumpkin spices. ugh... taste is sweet pumpkin funk. creamy medium texture with no carbonation makes it even tougher to choke down. I’m not a huge herb brew fan to begin with and this didn’t change that.

12 ounce bottle. Pours orange with a white head. Good pumpkin aroma. The taste is kind of thin with barely any pumpkin or spices that I could discern. I like my pumpkin beers spicy and bold this is is much too timid for my liking. would not buy again

Bottle. Pours copper/amber with a small head. You can smell the pumpkin as soon as you open the bottle. Some other spices in the aroma as well. Flavor like pumpkin pie. Not too bad, but seemed a little watery.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark, clear copper color with a 1/2" creamy beige head. Aroma is mild pumpkin and malt. Palate is mediium in body with mild carbonation. Flavor is mild pumpkin without the artificial spicey flavor some pumpkin ales have. Also, some flavor of biscuit, wheat and malt. Very enjoyable.

24th May 2008. Dry semi sweet malty beer with well integrated pumpkin fruitiness. Spice is subtle which gives it an edge on a lot of other pupkin beers!

Bottle. Amber pour. Big pumpkin and spice aroma, with the nutmeg and pumpkin aromas fairly well balanced. Not much pumpkin in flavor - mostly malt and clovy spice, which made it feel unbalanced. A touch acidic.
