Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Not an overpowering pumpkin ale, slight note of spice I’m the aroma, along with some caramel. Taste is of spice and pumpkin. I don’t think it’s a flavor extract, like some beers if this style.

Sometimes a great brewery falls in with the trends and brews a mediocre pumpkin beer. That seems to be the case with Brooklyn’s Post Road. It has some pumpkin, some spice, some malt. It tastes pretty much like any other pumpkin ale you can get at this time of year. A bit boring.

Bottle. Pours a dark copper color with white head. Metallic, malty, slight pumpkin aromas. Weird pumpkin, floral, veggie, caramel flavors. This was the worst beer of my blind tasting of seven pumpkin beers.

Pours a coppery amber from a bottle, quickly dissipating off-white head. Not much aroma to speak of. Flavor is a cinnamon-y pumpkin spice, sort of a cinnamon toast crunch flavor with a hit of bitterness in the finish. Okay beer.

12oz bottle 12/18/15 (Total Wine-Tampa)-Pours orange with a small white head. Aroma of pumpkin and spices. Taste of the same. This light to medium brew was not bad but was expecting more since coming from Brooklyn. A bit lacking.

V pleasant sweet caramel malt/nutmeg/sweet potato nose, hint of chestnut purée/cinnamon/spice. In the mouth, yeast bun + a hint of chestnut. Neutral finish; little bit of cinnamon.

From El Corte Ingles, 75th anniversary feria. In Teku glass. After dinner. Correct but the pumpkin is noticeable and it is a flavour i cant end up liking, although this beer has some bitterness that compesates it. Low on foam although a bit persist until the end
