Pours clear amber in color, frothy white head. Malty aroma with notes of pumpkin and fall baking spices. The flavor is malty with notes of pumpkin and nutmeg. The body is much lighter than other pumpkin ales i?ve tried. This actually works well and keeps this brew from being too filling, as opposed to others I?ve tried. The pumpkin flavor is on the mellow side, but it isn?t overly sweet either. Sticky mild pumpkin finish.

Sometimes a great brewery falls in with the trends and brews a mediocre pumpkin beer. That seems to be the case with Brooklyn’s Post Road. It has some pumpkin, some spice, some malt. It tastes pretty much like any other pumpkin ale you can get at this time of year. A bit boring.

Bottle. Pours a dark copper color with white head. Metallic, malty, slight pumpkin aromas. Weird pumpkin, floral, veggie, caramel flavors. This was the worst beer of my blind tasting of seven pumpkin beers.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a coppery amber from a bottle, quickly dissipating off-white head. Not much aroma to speak of. Flavor is a cinnamon-y pumpkin spice, sort of a cinnamon toast crunch flavor with a hit of bitterness in the finish. Okay beer.
